For new customers, the EZ Scan® subscription activates the first time data is entered. So a subscription can be purchased in the spring but will not begin until student mileage is entered into the account or a sync takes place.
Renewals simply add one year on to the expiration date.
If upgrading from EZ Tally® to EZ Scan®, a new subscription (not a new account) is created. The new subscription begins the day of the EZ Scan® purchase. The remaining balance of the original EZ Tally® account is converted to its dollar value and credited to the purchase price of EZ Scan®. Nothing is lost in the transition.
